"U.S. backs Japan against ADIZ：Biden"
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe received the assurance of visiting U.S. Vice President Joe Bidden Tuesday that Washington stands behind Japan as it responds to China's recent declaration of an air defense identification zone in the East China Sea that encompasses the Japan-administered Senkaku Island.

日本が管理している尖閣諸島を含めた東シナ海上空に、中国が 防空識別圏（air defense identification zone ： ADIZ）を設定したことに関して、 日本を訪れたジョー・バイデン米国副大統領が、日本側の主張を支持したという内容の記事です。
防衛省ホームページの防衛大臣会見概要によりますと、防空識別圏とは、「国際法上確立した概念ではなく、各国が自国の安全を図るため、 国内措置として領空に接続する公海上空に設置しているもので、これにより領土ないし領空の限界・範囲を定めているものでもありません」ということです。
