日本の中堅商社が委託手数料稼ぎの為に、顧客に “回転売買（churning）” を 勧めていたという疑いをもたれているという内容の記事です。
委託手数料（commission） とは、投資家が株式等を売買する場合に、仲介する 証券会社に支払う手数料のことで、売買が増えると証券会社の収益が増えることになります。
アメリカの証券取引委員会 （SEC） のホームページには、 回転売買は下記のように定義されており、また、投資家の不利益になる可能性があるので違法である可能性があると 述べられています。
Churning refers to the excessive buying and selling of securities in your account by your broker, for the purpose of generating commissions and without regard to your investment objectives.
回転売買とは、証券会社が、顧客の投資目的に関係なく、委託手数料を稼ぐ目的で、顧客の株式等を 過度に売買することである。
