国際通貨基金 ： IMF
"IMF plans oil price probe"
The International Monetary Fund said Saturday it would investigate the surge in crude oil costs after the Group of Eight called for a probe into wild swings in energy prices.
The fund's chief, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, said tight supply and demand conditions were the key reason for soaring oil prices, which have risen as much as fivefold since 2003, but added that might not be enough to explain all the surge.
